Research and Community Service

Apart from the teaching and learning core process, the University’s two other major missions are conducting research and providing appropriate service to the surrounding community. To this end, offices of research institute and University-industry and community linkage are established under the vice president for research and community service. There are a number of ongoing research projects in the University. The zone administration is working with us to foster our research efforts. The neighboring woreda administrations have also shown a great willingness to cooperate with the University. Two of the nearby woredas or districts have agreed to provide sizable agricultural land on which we can conduct agricultural research.
